Obituary for James McLennan
James “Jim” Paul McLennan, 76, of Winter Springs, Florida, passed away on Saturday, March 16, 2024. Jim was born to Ross and Vivian McLennan on January 18, 1948, in Saginaw, Michigan.
He proudly served in the Air Force as a photographer and met his beloved wife, Ekiko, while stationed at Naha Air Force Base in Okinawa. They were married on December 21, 1971.
Jim is survived by his wife and three sons, Johnny (Jean), Josh (Kristen) and Bobby (Ingrid), along with his brother Bob (Sandy), grandsons Jadon and Kai, nephew Russell (Kinzy) and niece Mindy. He was predeceased by his parents.
A talented musician, he found joy in playing the guitar, pursued photography, and dedicated countless hours to documenting his Scottish heritage and connecting with fellow Scottish clansmen at Highland Games. However, his primary devotion in life was serving our Almighty God. Jim’s journey now continues in Heaven, embraced by Jesus, where his spirit finds eternal peace and healing. His favorite verse was Romans 8:28 “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are called according to his purpose.”
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, April 6, 2024, at 11 am, hosted by Jim’s family at Action Church, 1485 Grand Road, Winter Park, FL.
